Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce that Amanda T. Huston has joined the firm. Ms. Huston is based out of CP2’s Fort Collins office and focuses her practice on business law and real estate matters.
Ms. Huston holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She majored in communication studies and minored in political science. Ms. Huston also earned a Master of Arts in communication studies from the University of Northern Colorado while serving as an instructor of public speaking and first year experience courses. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Huston worked at the Greeley Downtown Development Authority where she developed a passion for helping businesses become successful.
Ms. Huston graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2016, earning a certificate in corporate and commercial law. While in law school, she served as an articles editor on the Denver Law Review and as editor in chief of Race to the Bottom, a collaborative blog covering current laws and regulations governing corporations. She was also a recipient of the Excellence in Land Use Law Student award from the Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute.
After law school, Ms. Huston clerked at for the Honorable David M. Furman at the Colorado Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association. She is also a member of The Law Club and the Rhone Brackett Inn of Court.
