Aggies FC Named WPSL Rockies Division Organization of the Year in Inaugural Season

Fort Collins-based club earns league honor after finishing just two points out of first place in its first season in the world’s largest women’s soccer league

Aggies FC has been named the 2026 Women’s Premier Soccer League Mountain West Conference, Rockies Division Organization of the Year, capping an impressive inaugural season for Fort Collins’ elite women’s soccer club.

In its first season competing in the WPSL, the largest women’s soccer league in the world, Aggies FC finished just two points out of first place in the Rockies Division while simultaneously building a new organization, developing a competitive roster and establishing a professional-level matchday experience for fans throughout Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.

For the club, however, the recognition extends well beyond its results on the field.

It is a total team award.

The honor reflects the collective effort of Aggies FC players, coaches, staff, volunteers, community partners, sponsors, supporters and families who helped build the organization during its first year.

Adding to the significance of the recognition, the Aggies FC coaching staff is entirely Fort Collins-based, reinforcing the club’s commitment to developing an organization deeply connected to the soccer community it represents.

“We’re extremely proud of what this group accomplished in our first year, and even more excited because we know we’re just getting started,” said Aggies FC Founder Scott Westcoat. “What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it belongs to everyone. This is a total team award. Our players, coaches, staff, volunteers, partners, supporters and everyone who believed in what we were building all played a role in making our inaugural season something special. This award is a tremendous honor, but for us, it’s really the beginning of what we believe Aggies FC can become in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.”

Aggies FC entered the WPSL in 2026 with a mission extending beyond wins and losses. The organization was created to provide elite female athletes with a high-level competitive environment while establishing a sustainable women’s soccer platform for Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.

The club’s inaugural campaign demonstrated that those objectives can be pursued while also competing at a high level. Finishing only two points from the top of the division in its first season provided an early indication of the club’s competitive potential. Being recognized as Organization of the Year further validates the broader foundation being developed around the team.

“What I’m most proud of is the way this group came together and represented the club, each other and this community,” said Aggies FC Head Coach Jayme Beamer. “In a first season, you are creating standards and culture at the same time you are trying to compete. To finish two points out of first place and earn this recognition says a tremendous amount about the commitment of our players and everyone surrounding this team. We have established a foundation, and now our responsibility is to keep raising the standard.”

Westcoat said the club views the award as an early milestone rather than a culmination.

“We’re proud of what was accomplished in year one, but we’re much more excited about what comes next. Our goal is to continue improving every aspect of the organization and become further entrenched in the Fort Collins and Northern Colorado community. We want Aggies FC to become something this community genuinely considers its own.”

Community Support

Aggies FC also extends a special thank you to its corporate and community partners, as well as Colorado State University, for their support and commitment to the Aggies throughout the club’s inaugural season. Their belief in the organization helped provide the foundation necessary to bring elite women’s soccer to Fort Collins and create an environment in which the club could grow both on and off the field. “We simply could not have built year one without the organizations and people who stepped forward to support us,” Westcoat added. “Our partners and the university believed in what Aggies FC could become, and their commitment has been an important part of everything we have accomplished.”

The Organization of the Year honor provides Aggies FC with significant momentum as the club begins preparing for its second WPSL season and continues developing its presence throughout Northern Colorado.

ONE SEASON. TWO POINTS FROM FIRST PLACE. ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR.
