The Abilities 5k is a community event that raises support and awareness for people with disabilities in our community, while highlighting the ABILITIES of these individuals. We are committed to bringing a life-giving, family atmosphere to Northern Colorado and the surrounding areas.
We want to give back in a tangible way to organizations and people we see supporting and serving this wonderful population, while having an enjoyable time of community and encouraging a healthy atmosphere together. This year’s beneficiaries will be Respite Care of Fort Collins and Hearts & Horses. About the Fort Collins 5k
Dr. Daniel Wallis, a local Chiropractor and entrepreneur who grew up in Fort Collins, and is passionate about bringing a spirit of health, life, and improved quality of life to our community. In 2008 he had the opportunity to participate in the Journey of Hope, a 4,000 mile bike trip across the US to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities in our communities. This event sparked a passion to continue to give back and continue supporting this widely underserved population. The Abilities 5k was created to do just that!
