Happy Fall!
A Little Help wanted to share an exciting opportunity for your group or company to engage your members in a community-building service project in Fort Collins. Our Service Saturday! one day event has an urgent need for additional volunteers to give a hand to older adults in our community with fall clean-up tasks including organizing, raking, and weeding. Participants will receive a rewarding 3 hours of service at this event while helping out their older adult neighbors with their fall tasks.

Team Up: Volunteer work groups will have about 4-5 on a work group (but can be anywhere from 2-9 volunteers). For groups of 10 or more, please split into smaller groups of about 4-5 volunteers. Each work group “Team” will designate a Team/Group leader for communication purposes. For younger groups, often an adult, like a parent, would be a good choice for this role. Team leaders will be the main point of contact for your work group and will receive additional emails with instructions.
Name the Team: Work groups must pick a name for their team/group and include on your registration, for example: “Berthoud Library Staff” or “BB Team Gold”. Each work group will need an unique name, so if your group is sending multiple work groups you may need to differentiate between your work groups when deciding group names.
Register the Team: Whenever possible, please have the Team Leader register the entire team online in one registration starting with themselves. This helps our office staff keep work groups together with a consistent group name. If a team member registers separately, they must use the exact same Team Name on their registration to be placed in the correct group. Read the waiver of liability. Teams must be registered online with A Little Help no later than Tuesday, October 19th.
Equip the Team: We ask that you provide as many tools (rakes, spades, shovels, clippers, gloves, bags, etc) of your own that you can to help with the yard work. A Little Help does have a limited supply of tools to lend out in case participants don’t have access to any tools.
