FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area (Cache NHA) invites the community to experience the 2026 Capture the Cache Exhibition, a free month-long photography exhibition opening June 2 at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center in Old Town.
Featuring work from local photographers, the exhibition highlights the landscapes, wildlife, recreation, and human stories that define the Cache NHA. Organized around the themes of Farm-to-Table, Nature, and Recreation, this year’s exhibition reflects diverse perspectives on Northern Colorado’s agricultural heritage, natural beauty, and outdoor lifestyle.
Following record attendance last year of more than 2,300 visitors, the exhibition continues to grow as a signature community event and cultural attraction supporting downtown activity and local businesses.
The exhibition opens with a one-night-only reception on Tuesday, June 2, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., featuring plein-air art demonstrations, music, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and recognition of
individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Poudre River corridor.
“This exhibition is a perfect example of how art and heritage tourism can intersect to promote regional collaborations that greatly benefit our community,” said Sabrina Stoker, Executive Director of the Cache NHA. “This event not only draws visitors to our region but also invigorates local businesses and fosters economic growth.”
The exhibition will be free and open to the public June 3–June 30 at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center and will also be featured during June’s First Friday Art Walk. Community members and visitors are invited to experience the Poudre River region through the lens of local photographers and connect with the landscapes and stories that shape the area.
