In Her Shoes (VIP introduction to gender-based violence)
December 2 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

What would you do if you were harmed by your significant other, partner, or spouse? Would you know where to go? Who to talk to? How to get help?
Domestic violence, a chargeable offense, occurs in everybody’s community. Do you suspect that someone you know is experiencing this type of violence? What are the signs of gender-based violence? How can you help and also stay safe?
The Zonta Club of Fort Collins, a member of Zonta International and the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, has placed building awareness of gender-based violence and what communities can do to provide safe harbor for these victims a priority. One in three women globally are subject to some form of gender-based violence in their lifetime, including here in Fort Collins. Over the past 10 years 33% of crime in Fort Collins has been related to gender-based violence, specifically domestic violence and intimate partner violence. The Zonta Club of Fort Collins and Living Her Legacy are joint members of the Fort Collins Chamber Red Carpet Committee.
This event ‘In Her Shoes’ will introduce you to the process of how to recognize gender-based violence and understand the decision making process of a victim. Join us DEC 2, 2025 at the Fort Collins Chamber meeting room 5:30-7:30PM. Mark your calendar today and register with QR code in image.
