Chamber Opportunities for Leadership Development

by | Sep 22, 2025 | From the CEO

Hello Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce Members –

As an organization, we have the tremendous opportunity to inspire and create future leaders for our community. The Fort Collins Area Chamber works daily to build community through business and leadership development is a key tool in creating the future we all want.

We just announced our 2025-2026 Leadership Fort Collins Class and have two additional opportunities for leadership development that are taking applications now: Leadership Northern Colorado and our Pint of Professional Development program. Check out both of these opportunities and consider joining us or encouraging a member of your team to apply!

Leadership Northern Colorado

A joint initiative of the Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland Chambers of Commerce, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and the Weld Community Foundation, Leadership Northern Colorado was established to build human capacity and to identify, define and address the issues facing the Northern Colorado region.

The program is designed to educate and motivate leaders who are committed to shaping the future of our region. Graduates of local leadership programs and individuals in leadership positions in their organizations desiring to make a long-term impact on the region are encouraged to apply. Thirty current and emerging leaders from throughout the region will be selected to participate in the 2026 program, which will begin in January and conclude in June. Participants will come together on the fourth Tuesday of the month for a day-long session to learn about public governance, land use and infrastructure, education and workforce, economic development and regional leadership.

Pint of Professional Development

Pint of Professional Development is a six-part professional development series designed to help participants sharpen key skills for success while connecting with other professionals across Northern Colorado. The program is hosted at the Odell Brewing Community Room and Horse & Dragon Brewing Company and facilitated by Strategically Authentic CEO, Dr. Erika Michalski.

The program is tailored to young and early-career professionals, though individuals at any stage of their career are encouraged to apply. Participants will gain practical skills in productivity, project management, professional communication, and emotional intelligence, with the opportunity to apply what they learn immediately in the workplace. Each session includes networking opportunities, professional development content from an expert facilitator, and one beverage of the participant’s choosing.
