Rocky Mountain Equality is proud to announce Nia Wassink has joined the organization’s leadership team as director of corporate and foundation giving. In this new role, Wassink will lead efforts to deepen relationships with philanthropic partners, secure transformational funding, and strengthen the organization’s capacity to continue to serve LGBTQ communities across Colorado.
“Nia’s track record speaks for itself,” said Bruce Parker, Ph.D., chief operating officer of Rocky Mountain Equality. “She brings not only fundraising expertise, but also a deep understanding of how to engage partners in meaningful, values-driven work. We’re thrilled to welcome her to our leadership team at a time when our mission is more urgent than ever.”
Wassink brings more than two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a career dedicated to advancing equity, social justice, and community-centered practices, and her earliest work was working with the LGBTQ community and HIV/AIDS organizations. For the past nine years, she has led Prismatic Consulting, a firm specializing in fundraising and strategy for human services and social justice organizations.
