The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce proudly announces Mark Soukup as the 2024 Collins Award recipient. With an extensive background in accounting, public service and philanthropy, Mark has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to business leadership, community service and economic development in Northern Colorado.

A Legacy of Professional and Community Leadership
For over three decades, Mark served as President of Soukup, Bush & Associates, P.C., a 47-person CPA firm specializing in tax planning, audit services, real estate valuations, and financial consulting. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark has been committed to advocacy, education and civic engagement. His involvement with the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce spans decades, including his role as Chamber President in 1988. Mark’s leadership in the Chamber helped shape business-friendly policies and strengthened the local economy, making Fort Collins a more attractive place to live, work and do business.
A Lifelong Commitment to Public Service
Mark’s volunteer service and civic leadership are as extensive as his professional career. His impact includes:
- Mayor of Timnath, Colorado (2020-2024)
- Board of Directors, Junior Achievement of Northern Colorado (2006-2012, Chairman 2010-2012),
- Board of Trustees, Poudre Valley Hospital Health (1993-1996),
- Director, Community Foundation of Northern Colorado (2004-2010),
- Coloradoan Newspaper Editorial Board (2017-present)
- Coach and Leader in Youth Development through Fort Collins Youth Baseball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and local parish organizations.
Mark’s belief in education and business advocacy has also made him a key player in shaping the next generation of business leaders, serving as the Director for the CSU School of Business Accounting Advisory Board from 2015-2018.

The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to celebrate Mark Soukup’s contributions to the business community, his steadfast leadership, and his enduring impact on Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.
The Fort Collins Area Chamber Annual Celebration will be held on Wednesday, April 9 in the Pedersen Toyota Center at the Ranch Events Complex and look forward to spending an evening with over 700 Chamber members and others from across Northern Colorado.
