Enjoy a winter wonderland and authentic German-style holiday market in Denver on Saturday, Dec. 14, without the hassles of driving and parking. The round-trip excursion from Fort Collins, Experience the Denver Christkindlmarket Tradition, has been organized by the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Participants can shop for unique, finely-crafted artisan gifts as well as enjoy tasty treats sold by local and international merchants in charming wooden huts. Reserved tables will be available midday in the Festival Hall, renowned for its live entertainment and dancing. Participants will meet at the Harmony Park and Ride at 9 am on Saturday, Dec. 14, to travel by van to the Denver market, returning to the Park and Ride by 5 pm. Tickets are $60 per person, and reservations and signed waiver are required by 5 pm Wednesday, Dec. 11, at globalvillagemuseum.org. As the Christmas market is outdoors, registrants should dress for the weather, and participants are asked to bring a cell phone to maintain contact with the group.
