Dance Express, like all nonprofits, depends on fundraising and community generosity to support operations and run programming. Not all fundraising is made equal. Former Dance Express board president, Lyndsay Whitlock, found a fun and unique way at Painting with a Twist. This ideal alignment of Dance Express and Painting with a Twist works toward the common mission of increasing access to the arts.
Charitable giving is honorable, but is it fun? It can be! Jasmine Henley, owner of Painting with a Twist, created a program to meet this need. “Painting with a Purpose” is an event filled with creativity and community generosity. Paying it forward can be as fun as getting your friends, family, and colleagues together to relax and have drinks while creating art. All participants of “Painting with a Purpose” will leave with a great feeling of helping another plus a personal masterpiece!
Here’s how it works: Painting with a Twist sponsors one “Painting with a Purpose” event per month, right now June, July and October are available! They promote with social media, google, and email. Each event is unique:
• Taught by a Painting with a Twist artist
• Adults only or family-friendly
• In the Fort Collins studio, 1112 Oakridge Drive #107
• An intimate event of 10 people or a party of up to 42 people
• Painting theme is chosen by the host!
