Appointments of cardiologist and process management leader bring additional perspectives and talents to the foundation’s board.

UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation has added two new members to its board of directors, Dr. Bradley Oldemeyer, MD, a UCHealth interventional cardiologist, and Vikki Wagner, recently retired director of process and performance improvement for UCHealth Northern Region.

Erica Siemers, regional executive director of the foundation, said Oldemeyer and Wagner have deep ties to northern Colorado and its people. “In their expansive careers, they have each touched many lives and have helped ensure that the best health care is available close to home for all in our community. We are excited about the unique strengths they bring to round out our esteemed board of directors,” she said.

Oldemeyer is the physician director of UCHealth’s cardiovascular services in northern Colorado as well as the director of the structural heart program at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. He earned his medical degree and residency at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He received fellowship training at Creighton University School of Medicine and Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix. Oldemeyer, who joined UCHealth in 2004, is board certified in echocardiography, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He is involved in dozens of research studies and clinical trials and has numerous publications to his credit.

“Especially in the realm of medical research, I have observed firsthand the impact philanthropy has on taking health care to new heights,” Oldemeyer said. “I am pleased to join the foundation’s board and participate in the mission and vision to leverage philanthropy to improve health in our community.”

Wagner, in her role at UCHealth, led process improvement teams in designing and implementing efficient workflows for staff and patients in new facility openings and remodels. Her work has led to better care, better service and cost reduction for patients. Wagner’s impact will last a lifetime for many care providers and patients. She was instrumental in the design and development of the UCHealth Cancer Center – Harmony Campus, which opened in 2014. Wagner chaired the Survivors Advisory Council, a group of patients who helped shape the vision to bring “one door” cancer treatment to northern Colorado—ensuring that the facility was designed from a patient’s perspective to combine healing, hope and wellness with world-class clinical treatments in one location. Additionally, she served as a patient spokesperson to advance the foundation’s fundraising efforts for the facility, helping to raise $6 million toward the vital community resource.

“The foundation and its mission to advance health care in our community has been a cause close to my heart for many years,” Wagner said. “As a board me

mber, I am eager to continue to advocate the patient’s viewpoint and bring my experience and skills to bear to support the foundation’s work.”
