Grand opening event includes live music, free trial lessons, food from local vendors and giveaways
School of Rock, a leader in performance-based music education, announces the grand opening of its school in the Fort Collins community. The grand opening will take place at 215 E. Foothills Pkwy STE 720 from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, Oct. 10. Along with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, it will be a day filled with outdoor live music, food vendors, free trial lessons, and giveaways. COVID precautions will be taken with proper social distancing and masks required.
School of Rock Fort Collins is owned by Chuck and Donna Silber. They are music fanatics, having attended over 300 concerts together. Chuck has been playing in rock bands since he was 15 years old. After several long-distance career driven moves over the years, opening a School of Rock gave Chuck and Donna an opportunity to choose a location not based on the business opportunity alone, but also somewhere that they truly wanted to live. After a lot of travel, research, and soul searching, it became clear that Fort Collins offered up the perfect combination of both.
“With its strong music culture, vibrant performance scene, and warm community vibe, we quickly fell in love with Fort Collins and knew that it would be the perfect place to open our School of Rock,” said Donna Silber, General Manager and Co-Owner. “So far the reception and excitement about the School coming to town has surpassed all of our expectations. We see School of Rock not just as a business opportunity, but as a way to truly make a difference in both kids and adult lives.”
School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, bass lessons, and piano lessons.
Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Frank Zappa. Thanks to the
school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The
Voice and Broadway.
“Chuck and Donna Silber are exactly the type of people we look for to lead a School of Rock franchise,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “They are passionate about their community and eager to provide opportunities for students to further their music education. I look forward to watching School of Rock Fort Collins grow as their students thrive.”
