Coan, Payton & Payne, LLC (“CP2”) is pleased to announce the addition of four attorneys to its Denver office.
Attorneys James P. (J.P.) Stouffer, Richard M. Hess, Jr., AEP®, John Seebohm and David A. Turner joined CP2 on February 28, 2019. The new team members expand CP2’s estate planning, estate administration, business, business succession and real estate practices.
Mr. Stouffer’s practice is focused on estate planning and administration, business planning, and real estate. In real estate, Mr. Stouffer counsels clients on both residential and commercial purchases and sales, including title work. This is often done in conjunction with his estate planning and administration practice, which frequently involves creation and sale of entities, distributions of assets and other related undertakings. His clientele consists of entrepreneurs, farmers and ranchers, executives, retirees and young families.
Mr. Hess’ practice emphasizes wealth preservation and transfer, family philanthropy and the related fields of succession and exit planning for closely-held businesses and professional practices. He assists business partners, entrepreneurs, professional practices, individuals, and family groups in preserving and facilitating the transfer of wealth as well as managing inter-generational philanthropy.
Mr. Seebohm emphasizes estate and business planning and probate of estates with an additional focus on the litigation of disputed estate and trust matters, including fiduciary litigation.
Mr. Turner’s practice is focused on estate planning and administration, conservatorships, guardianships, and closely held businesses. He represents both individuals and corporate fiduciaries, including in contested, litigated matters.
