Grab your craftiest friends and family for a Gingerbread House Decorating Party benefiting Homeward Alliance. Hosted by Old Town Churn Ice Cream and FirstBank, the event will take place on Saturday, December 15th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Old Town Churn, 234 North College Avenue, Fort Collins.

For a recommended $15 donation, participants will receive a ready-to-decorate gingerbread house and toppings, free ice cream and hot cocoa. The party will also feature the chance to enter a raffle for a snowboard, gift cards and other prizes. All donations will benefit Homeward Alliance, which serves people who are homeless or near-homeless in Northern Colorado.

“We are always looking for opportunities to build connections with our neighbors while supporting organizations that play a crucial role in the community,” said Sharaine Peoples, General Manager of Old Town Churn.

The event is open to participants of all ages and will take place rain, snow, or shine. Old Town Churn will also have fresh-cut Christmas trees for sale at the party. The shop’s holiday tree lot will be open until Christmas Eve.

Launched in October 2018, Old Town Churn is part of The Little Man Ice Cream Company family, which focuses on crafting micro-batch ice cream and sorbet with some of the finest, locally-sourced ingredients possible, produced one small batch at a time to ensure premium quality. The company sells its ice cream through more than 45 wholesale distributors as well as its own growing group of shops, including the original Little Man in Denver’s Lower Highland neighborhood and Sweet Cooie’s in the city’s Congress Park neighborhood. Committed to community improvement and global philanthropy, Little Man fights hunger through its “Scoop for Scoop” initiative. For every scoop of ice cream the shop sells, one scoop of rice or beans is donated to villages in developing countries.
