Two new neighborhood medical centers makes it easier for people to access quality health care close to where they live and work
The MedExpress centers will be the first locations in the state
MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, will open two neighborhood medical centers in Colorado. The centers, at 110 Boardwalk Dr. in Fort Collins and 4500 Leetsdale Dr. in Glendale, will open Aug. 29 and Sept. 12, respectively.
“MedExpress offers an option to local residents who may not be able to immediately see their primary care physician or who don’t need true emergency treatment,” said Nanci Gunthert, Colorado area manager of MedExpress. “MedExpress centers are staffed by a full medical team and offer convenient hours and the ability to just walk in. This convenience makes us a great option for many people, and we look forward to offering our model of quality, convenient, affordable health care to the Fort Collins and Glendale communities.”
The centers will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common summertime injuries such as cuts, scrapes, rashes, bites, stings and burns – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help local residents maintain good health.
The Fort Collins and Glendale centers will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The centers will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, nurses, radiologic technologists and customer service representatives. As a local health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with local health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.
MedExpress has over 250 centers in 20 states. For a full list of health care services and locations, visit medexpress.com.
