ImPACT™ (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) allows trained clinicians to use tools and services to determine concussion elevation.

Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies will offer baseline neurocognitive testing for concussion management using ImPACT™ (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). Starting June 1, The Fort Collins and Loveland clinics will accept appointments Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

“Our team of sports medicine professionals has taken care of thousands of competitive and recreational athletes from the Rocky Mountain region, across the country and even around the world,” said Carli Taylor-Drake, Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies Director of Marketing and Practice Development. “With the ImPACT™ test sessions, our Regional Concussion Center will provide neurocognitive assessment tools and services that have been medically accepted as the best practices to assist with safe return to play/learn decisions following sports related concussions.”

Supervised by board-certified neuropsychologist and Credentialed ImPACT Consultant™ (CIC) Dr. Alissa Wicklund.  The ImPACT™ baseline testing takes approximately 30 minutes, ImPACT™ for kids 12 and up and Pediatric ImPACT™ for ages 9-11. The cost is $20 until August 1st and $30 thereafter.

“ImPACT™ is used by the vast majority of teams in the MLS, MLB, NHL and NFL.  It is also mandated for use in NASCAR, WWE and select US Olympic sports,” said Taylor-Drake. “More than 7,400+ high schools, 1,000+ colleges and universities, 900+ clinical centers, 475+ Credentialed ImPACT™ Consultants, 200+ professional teams and select military units use this type of testing. We are proud to bring this program to our Fort Collins and Loveland clinics.”
