Front Range Community College is a Military Friendly® School, ranked No. 1 in the large community college category, the website militaryfriendly.com says.

The designation recognizes a schools “commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community” – active duty, guard, veterans, and military spouses.

Military Friendly® takes data from public sources, its own survey, and personal data from veterans themselves in creating the designation. Its results are audited by the accounting firm Ernst and Young.

The review measures academic policies and compliance, admissions and orientation, culture and commitment, financial aid and assistance, graduation and career, and military student support and retention. In all categories, FRCC exceeded the standards Military Friendly® sets.

“FRCC Veteran Services provides numerous specialized services and support to veterans, eligible dependents, active duty service members, members of the Selected Reserve, and Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP) recipients, tailored to meet students’ experience and challenges,” Military Friendly® reports. “Each campus has a dedicated Veteran Service Advisor (VSA) to assist veterans with their transition to college, both academically and socially, along with a dedicated School Certifying Official (SCO) to ensure that veterans benefits are properly awarded in a timely manner.”

FRCC President Andy Dorsey commended the college Veteran Services staff and all faculty and staff for its commitment to military veterans and spouses.

“We are committed to help more veterans and active duty military secure rewarding careers and position themselves for successful futures,” said President Andy Dorsey. “We also are committed to uphold the high standards that Military Friendly® measures.”
Military Friendly® is owned and operated by Victory Media, a veteran-owned business.
