The PVH and MCR Foundation is thrilled to be hosting their inaugural Greeley Golf Classic on Monday, September 21 at the Greeley Country Club. Since 2012, the foundation has hosted a Fort Collins-based golf event in August; this is the first year that the foundation is sponsoring a similar event in Greeley. The proceeds from this tournament will be used to support eligible oncology patients who are living and/or receiving care in Weld County. The funds may be utilized for anything from transportation to doctors’ visits to mortgage payments to other unforeseen expenses that arise for patients during treatment.
“Money raised at this tournament will go to support local patients in their greatest time of need,” said Dr. Doug Kemme, medical oncologist with UCHealth Hematology and Oncology in Greeley. “Even the most modest assistance can make the difference in helping patients overcome financial worries so that they can focus on healing.”
With expert cancer specialists, the latest treatment technology, access to national clinical trials, and patient navigation and support services, UCHealth brings world-class care close to home. And by receiving care at any UCHealth facility, patients have access to the experts at University of Colorado Cancer Center in Denver, the only Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain region designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and one of just 41 in the country.
“The services of UCHealth in the north are in no way limited to Larimer County, so we are thrilled to be hosting this brand new event in Weld County to benefit an even broader part of our community,” said Erica Siemers, senior director of the PVH and MCR Foundation.
In a show of great support, many northern Colorado businesses have already signed up as sponsors of the PVH and MCR Greeley Golf Classic, including Hensel Phelps, BizWest, Adolfson & Peterson, Bank of Colorado, The FEET, and Access. However, for those businesses wishing to get involved, team sponsorship opportunities are still available beginning at $800
