Wellington Colorado Main Streets Program, Points West Community Bank and Federal Home Loan Banks invite downtown Wellington businesses to apply for matching grant dollars through the Wellington Main Streets Investing in Business Grant Program.
From now until August 15, 2015, Wellington commercial property owners and commercial property tenants on or around Cleveland Ave. including 1st and 6th Streets can apply for grant money through the Wellington Main Streets Investing in Business Grant. The grant, which must be matched by the business in either a cash or micro-loan amount, is designed to encourage revitalization of downtown Wellington through business improvements such as façade updates, external paint jobs, landscaping and more.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to better our community and we hope that every downtown Wellington business will consider how this grant program may give them the resources they need to reinvest in their properties,” said Wendy DuBord, Executive Director of Wellington Colorado Main Streets Program.
Grant funds are limited to $5,000 per project and must be matched by the property owners, an independent source or through a Points West Community Bank small business loan. These loans will be available unsecured and at the current market rate. Projects are not limited to $10,000; business owners may choose to source more funds than the minimum matching amount of 100% of the amount of the grant award.
Applications may be picked up at Points West Community Bank in Wellington or at the Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
