High Country Beverage

A Legacy of Growth and Industry Leadership

Building on the strong foundation established by Dave Nichols, he and his son, Steve Nichols, have grown High Country Beverage into one of the industry’s leading beverage distribution companies. What began as Dave’s vision has evolved into a lasting legacy grounded in strong values, meaningful relationships, and a deep commitment to community.

Dave Nichols is widely respected not just for what he built, but how he built it. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a belief in free enterprise, Dave approached business with a clear purpose: to create opportunity, invest in people, and do things the right way. He instilled a culture rooted in integrity, accountability, and hard work, with the belief that success should be earned and shared.

From the beginning, Dave believed a company’s responsibility extends beyond its walls. He prioritized giving back to the communities where employees live and work, supporting local organizations and helping those facing challenges. His leadership emphasized trust, fairness, and doing right by people — values that continue to define the organization today.

Under Steve’s leadership, that foundation remains strong. High Country Beverage continues to serve thousands of customers and represent a diverse portfolio of suppliers and brands, earning its reputation as a trusted partner across the industry while staying true to the principles Dave established.

A Commitment to Community and Giving Back

Beyond business, Dave and Steve are deeply committed to the communities they serve. Through High Country Beverage, they have supported hundreds of nonprofit organizations, local events, and community initiatives throughout Northern Colorado and beyond.

Their impact spans youth development, health and human services, education, and community enrichment. Whether through sponsorships, donations, or hands-on involvement, their approach reflects a genuine dedication to strengthening the communities they serve.

Leadership that Shapes the Region

Dave and Steve’s engagement with the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce and broader business community reflects their belief in collaboration, advocacy, and long-term economic vitality. Their leadership has helped support a strong business climate while reinforcing Northern Colorado as a place where businesses and people can thrive.
