The Chorale has been providing northern Colorado audiences with concerts of professional-caliber choral music for forty-five years! That is definitely something to celebrate and to be jubilant about. For this special occasion we’ve commissioned a young composer out of Philadelphia, John Conahan, to compose a piece for us celebrating the power of choral music and the bond that all singers in the Chorale share. With poetry by James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938), “The Gift to Sing” will receive its world premiere on our concerts. Other compositions for chorus and two pianos will be featured including: Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, “A Jubilant Song” by Norman Dello Joio and “If Clarions Sound” by Mack Wilberg. Please join us and help us celebrate LC @ 45!
