FoCo Cafe Hosts First “Spring Soiree” Fundraiser April 12thFoCo Cafe, Northern Colorado’s only non-profit restaurant, will host its first annual Spring Soiree on April 12th from 6-8 p.m. at Everyday Joe’s Coffee House, 144 S. Mason in Fort Collins.
The event, which will also benefit Everyday Joe’s, will feature small plates prepared by local chefs, local beers, wine and press juices, along with live music by French Toast Quartet, an auction and a presentation, which will highlight the history, needs, and accomplishments of the Cafe. Tickets are $40 per person, with a reduced price for Sustaining Members. If unable to attend, supporters can help someone in need by purchasing all or part of a ticket.
Since 2014, FoCo Cafe has offered a delicious and nutritious lunch six days a week to anyone who is hungry, regardless of their ability to pay. The concept is simple: pay what you can, pay it forward, or give some volunteer time in exchange for a meal. More than 18,000 meals were served in 2018, keeping with the cafe’s mission of “Feeding Our Community Ourselves.” Its continued existence depends greatly on donations, grants, in-kind gifts and proceeds from special events as the soiree.
