PMHF Mental Health Awareness 5K

Helping raise awareness of Mental Health and how PMHF is here to provide financial assistance for those w/mental illnesses in NoCo.
I am excited to announce that PMHF is having our 1st PMHF Mental Health Awareness 5K; on Saturday, May 18th at 9 AM. So many people have to decide on housing costs, food, and schooling, or getting the mental help needed. This shouldn’t be a choice to make but an opportunity for all in need. Project Mental Health Freedom (PMHF); a new nonprofit (501c3) in Larimer County-based out of Fort Collins. We are here to bridge the gap for mental health support by assisting others with their out of pocket costs for their mental health/substance abuse treatments/maintenance. There are so many people who cannot afford the mental health support and treatments they so desperately need and deserve.Residents can contact us (or therapist can reach out to us for their patients) if they need financial assistance with their treatment/maintenance. Based on their situation and their need we will work out a plan of action. We maintain relationships with therapists and work with them to set up a payment for a set amount of visits. During this time we will have continued contact with the therapists to make sure the client is coming to appointments, not being late every time, being engaged, and doing the homework (if any) that is required. As long as this happens we can assist them for a set period of time. Our goal is to obtain the relationships in town to assist all residents that need support and assistance. I am currently working on building more professional relationships with the colleges in town, the CO works office and many more. We need more assistance for our community so the vicious circle of mental health and the need doesn’t keep spinning out of control. Everyone deserves the help they need to live a happy and healthy life, both physically and mentally. If I can be a part of that help, my goals have been met, one life at a time.Thank you for your support!!!!!
