PSD is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for businesses to tap into the next generation of talent! Nicholas Peterson, Community and Business Development Coordinator, and Emilie Ring, Integrated Services Coach, are excited to pioneer a new and innovative approach to connect graduating high school seniors who intend to immediately enter the workforce with regional businesses in need of employees. The PSD Senior & ACE student hiring fair will take place on Wednesday, April 10th at the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins from 9am-4pm.

While the first half of the day will resemble a traditional hiring fair, with businesses set up at tables and high school seniors browsing and interviewing throughout the mall’s corridors and atrium, the 2nd half of the day flips the model and puts PSD’s ACE students at the center.

This format is known as a “reverse hiring fair” in which the students set up at tables exhibiting their portfolios and artifacts of their learning journeys to perspective employers who browse and interact with the students. ACE students are identified as students with potential barriers to employment and PSD’s ACE programs support these students with career and life skills and provide job coaching, transition services, and other resources to assure a positive job experience for the student and employer.

Businesses who are seeking employees for this summer and beyond are invited to sign up for a table by March 31 by clicking this registration link. Registration is free and pizza lunch for our business partners is provided. Sign up now!

Please help spread the word by sharing this information and the attached flyer with any businesses and organizations who may be interested in participating.
