The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its 2027 Local Legislative Affairs Committee (LLAC). This important volunteer opportunity gives Chamber members a meaningful role in monitoring local policy issues and helping advance a favorable environment for business throughout our community and region.
The Chamber thrives on the energy, expertise and dedication of its volunteers. LLAC members bring valuable perspectives to conversations about the decisions affecting local businesses, economic vitality and quality of life.
About the Local Legislative Affairs Committee
The LLAC is a standing committee of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce dedicated to collaborating with public and private stakeholders to create a favorable business environment that enhances quality of life throughout Northern Colorado.
Committee members actively monitor legislative activities and policy developments involving Fort Collins City Council, Larimer County Commissioners and other local decision-making bodies. Through this work, the committee develops policy position recommendations on city and county issues for consideration by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
The LLAC meets weekly on Fridays at 7:30 a.m. and provides an important forum for informed discussion, thoughtful collaboration and engagement with issues affecting our business community.
Committee Membership and Expectations
Applications are reviewed annually, with individuals appointed to one- or two-year terms. Membership in the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce is required to serve on the committee, and members are expected to maintain at least 70% meeting attendance.
Interviews for available positions will be conducted the week following the application deadline, with appointments made by the Chamber’s Board of Directors in early December.

Chamber members interested in serving on the 2027 LLAC are encouraged to complete the application and submit it to the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce by the deadline below.
