A NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE SERIES TRAINING

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 AT 2:00 P.M.

In the spring of 2020, United Way of Larimer County was in the midst of planning one of its largest fundraising events of the year, the “Superhero Social.” When social distancing guidelines were put in place by state and local officials to limit the spread of COVID-19, their team was inspired to create a virtual alternative that would enable them to energize the local community and reach their fundraising goal despite a lack of in-person interaction.

The re-imagined event, now dubbed the “Invisible Superhero Social,” incorporated several creative elements designed to engage with donors in a meaningful way without putting the health and safety of their community at risk. In this session, you’ll learn more about the event strategies utilized before, during, and after their live broadcast, and find out what worked, what didn’t, and how this team is capitalizing on their virtual event to increase community engagement for months to come.
