FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Oct. 4, 2017) – Pathways is excited to announce that its 16th Annual A Vintage Affair event raised $83,919. This celebrated wine and beer tasting event was hosted by Wilbur’s Total Beverage on Friday, Sept. 29, and net proceeds will go toward Pathways’ Children’s Healing Garden, which will provide interactive healing opportunities for grieving youth in the community.

The night consisted of more than 200 beer and wine varieties from around the world, gourmet appetizers, live and silent auctions, a Heads and Tails game, paddle raise and more. A highlight of the night was the 99 Bottles of Beer and 99 Bottles of Wine contests, where two lucky winners took home 99 bottles of alcohol provided by Wilbur’s Total Beverage.

“Pathways is so incredibly grateful for the generous support of our community,” said Nate Lamkin, President of Pathways. “The funds raised will go toward a truly worthy cause – helping local children experience healing when coping with grief or illnesses.”

The Children’s Healing Garden will be constructed on the east side of Pathways’ Fort Collins location, 305 Carpenter Road, and will offer many interactive healing opportunities for children who are grieving the loss of a loved one or are facing a life-limiting illness. The garden will feature many unique aspects, such as a memory garden, sand play area, shade structures and trees, a mandala area for art therapy and many more.

To support this endeavor, Pathways has launched a $500,000 capital campaign. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Garden will occur in early 2018. Learn more about the Children’s Healing Garden and giving opportunities at pathways-care.org/childrens-healing-garden-capital-campaign.
