Two Banner Hospitals Join Best Maternity Hospital List

Banner Fort Collins Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center have been named to Newsweek’s list of Best Maternity Hospitals 2022. This award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list can be viewed on Newsweek’s

Newsweek and Statista developed a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation:

  • Nationwide online survey of medical providers who oversee or work in maternity services
  • Medical performance metrics relevant to maternity care
  • Patient surveys

Newsweek and Statista invited over 10,000 medical professionals to participate in the survey. Only 350 winners were recognized on the Best Maternity Hospitals 2022 list.

Banner Fort Collins Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley offer:

  • Lactation consultants and lactation clinics
  • Childbirth education classes
  • Peanut balls to make labor easier and delivery faster

NCMC also has a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for premature and sick babies.
