Plan a wonderful way to swing into spring! Attend the once-a-year concert of original choreography by Dance Express company members, volunteers, and Artistic Director Lenahan. STUDIO CONCERT 2022: For the Love of It! premieres Sunday, May 22 on the Prairie Sage Stage of the Fort Collins Senior Center.
Performing solos is a joy each dancer loves…to create, to share, to be in the limelight. Each dancer chooses music that inspires dance. The in-person concert returns to “normal” with a blend of group pieces and solos and is approximately one hour with content good for all ages. Dance Express adheres to COVID precautions as recommended in compliance with state, county, and city regulations.
Guest choreographers Beth Little, Ella Meyers, Kat Lawrie, and Avery Coates contribute to the diverse styles in this inclusive dance company of persons with and without disabilities. Serving the Fort Collins region and northern Colorado beginning with the first Studio Concert and summer performance at New West Fest, 1989,
Dance Express garners kudos with the tradition of sharing joy and love of dance. Inspired by Theresa Lenahan, sister of Dance Express Artistic Director Mary Elizabeth Lenahan, MS, OT, Dance Express has aligned with another company of dancers with Down syndrome in Surrey, England. We look forward to more expansion in 2022/23.
