Presented by Colorado State University, Dellenbach Subaru and Mantooth Marketing Company

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is excited to welcome a band whose roots are right here in Fort Collins. South to Cedars, an Americana band, will be taking the Lagoon stage on Wednesday, July 24.  The concert is from 6-8:30 p.m. at the west lawn of the Lory Student Center at CSU.

South to Cedars is a four-piece acoustic band from Colorado. They’ve performed for The Denver Rock and Roll Marathon, at Dicken’s Opera House, and more festivals across the state. Their style is described as a sweet blend of folk, bluegrass, and rock which creates their own original sound. The band loves to perform original pieces but also slips in a few covers of familiar songs during each show.

The Little Kids Rock performers opening this week is the band Tavelli Tiger Stripes.

The food truck lineup this week includes Austin Taco, Bedrock BBQ, Sweaty Moose, The Human Bean Coffee Truck and Ba-Nom-A-Nom.

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series runs for seven weeks throughout the summer and features a variety of music styles including country, reggae, folk, rock and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for an enjoyable evening of free music. Residents should be cautioned that there is no parking allowed on Plum Drive.

For those who can’t make the show, South to Cedars’ performance will be broadcast on KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins on Wednesday, July 31 at 7 p.m. as part of their “Around Town” series.
