Shirazi To Be Honored at 26th Annual NCMC Gala
Masoud Shirazi will be honored with the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation’s Legacy Award at the 26th Annual NCMC Foundation Gala, scheduled for January 31, 2015, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Loveland.
Shirazi, a 24-year member of the NCMC Foundation board of directors, has held every position on the board and has chaired numerous committees during his tenure. He is currently the chairman of the finance committee.
“We are pleased to honor Masoud for his many years of service to the NCMC Foundation,” said Foundation president Chris Kiser. “Masoud exemplifies the true meaning of volunteerism – he generously gives his time, financial support and business advice to the Foundation. There is no one more deserving of this award than Masoud. He has made a significant impact on healthcare in our community during his nearly quarter century on the board.”
The NCMC Foundation Legacy Award is not the first community award for Shirazi. He was the recipient of the 2006 Boy Scouts of America Weld County Distinguished Citizen of the Year, and he also was honored with a UNC Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010. Shirazi graduated with a BA from UNC in 1974. He has operated Shirazi Benefits, an award winning independent insurance agency specializing in group employee benefits and estate planning, since 1976.
Proceeds from the 2015 NCMC Foundation Gala will support technology upgrades, expansion and renovation of the NCMC Cancer Institute.
