Pathways Welcomes Scot Strong as New Provider Relations Director

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (April 11, 2017) – Pathways, a northern Colorado nonprofit that provides expert and compassionate hospice care, palliative care and bereavement support, is pleased to welcome Scot Strong as the new Provider Relations Director. Strong will manage the Provider Relations team and focus on maintaining and building relationships between Pathways and multiple medical and care facilities in the area.

“Scot brings with him a unique blend of skills from many years in the professional realm,” said Angela Quinn, Interim President of Pathways. “His business expertise, passion for the hospice industry and knack for creating one-on-one interpersonal relationships will all be an asset as Pathways continues to serve our community with the utmost care.”

Strong has spent the bulk of his professional career as an IT business consultant, where he formed strong partnerships with clients and helped them achieve strategic solutions so that they could be ultimately successful. Through this career path, he developed a collaborative working style and learned how to leverage a team’s collective strengths to obtain best results, which he will carry into his new position at Pathways.

In addition to possessing extensive business skills, Strong has a unique passion for the hospice industry. Several years ago, Strong lost a close family member, who needed hospice services to ease her pain during the last few months of her life. This initial introduction to hospice care inspired him to become a certified patient care volunteer. Through volunteering for the past seven years, Strong discovered the incredible impact that hospice can have on the lives of patients and their loved ones. He ultimately decided it was time to turn his hobby into a profession and join Pathways, where he enthusiastically anticipates the organization’s future.

“Pathways is already the top provider of comprehensive end-of-life health services in northern Colorado,” said Strong. “My goal is to help Pathways reach even more people, as there are still many communities in our service area who are largely underserved.”

Outside of the office, Scot enjoys the outdoors by walking, hiking in the mountains and relaxing on the beach. His considers family to be top priority and loves spending time with his wife of 34 years, two grown sons and his granddaughters, all of whom live in the area.
