Pathways Hospice, a community nonprofit providing expert medical and comfort care for individuals navigating the last months of life, has received a grant for $4,332 from The Edmund T. and Eleanor Quick Foundation. The funds will be used to support “Children With a Life Limiting Illness,” a program that provides benefits in the home for children with a life limiting illness and allows families to seek curative treatment while the child is receiving palliative care from Pathways Hospice.
“Many immediately think that Pathways’ support and services are only for elders, but there are a great number of younger patients in need of our care,” said Pathways Hospice CEO, Evan Hyatt. “This gift from our partners at The Edmund T. and Eleanor Quick Foundation gift will help us continue to provide the comprehensive care young patients need.”
