Pathways Hospice Adds Two Clinical Liaisons To Promote Community Education
Pathways Hospice is hoping to change the way the community looks at hospice and palliative care with the addition of two Clinical Liaisons to their staff, Allison Easterling, RN and Adam Federer, RN. Each young and enthusiastic, Adam and Allison will work to educate the community about Pathways services and the resources that are available through hospice and palliative care.
“I want to see Pathways bridge the gap between quality and quantity of life and take away the negative stigma and connotation that is too often associated with hospice and palliative care,” said Allison. “Hospice is about how we live and how we want to live our remaining days. I fully believe our team at Pathways can help people live more comfortably but the conversation has to happen early and that’s my charge, my passion and calling, to have that conversation.“
Allison has been with Pathways since July 2013. She was originally hired as an On-Call RN and has since helped Pathways in different capacities. Outside of palliative care, Allison has a passion for Ashtanga yoga and being outdoors in the Colorado sunshine.
Prior to joining Pathways Hospice, Adam served in a number of different roles, including Certified Nursing Assistant and Director of Social Services and Clinical Discharge Planning, within Columbine Health Care Systems. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Adam now lives in Fort Collins with his wife, Katie, a physical therapist for UCHealth.
“Adam and Allison each bring energy and a wealth of ideas to their positions,” said CEO of Pathways Hospice, Evan Hyatt. “We’re excited to have them help us move community education forward.”
