OFF THE HOOK ARTS’ PIAN-O-THON OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS

FORT COLLINS, May 22, 2016 — “Pian-O-Thon Take 3” welcomes all ages, skill levels, styles of music and number of unplugged instruments to play… just make sure you include the piano player. In short, all comers are asked to play-what-they-can and pay-what-they-can.

The opening event of Off the Hook Arts’ 5th Annual SummerFest is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 4 in Fort Collins stunningly renovated Northern Hotel lobby. In it’s third year, the event will raise funds for Off the Hook Arts and CASA of Larimer County. The festival continues June 15 to July 2.

Registration deadline is May 23. Groups of any size are also welcome to accompany the piano player.

After making a donation, participants can take a seat at a historic, eight-foot, 1879 Erard grand piano for an experience they won’t forget.

Off The Hook Arts Executive Artistic Director Jeptha Bernstein said the exquisite grand piano will allow pianists to express their musical talents, whatever level they may be, while supporting two valuable non-profits.

The five-year-old Off the Hook Arts provides no- and low-cost arts education to children and adults by working collaboratively with scientists and other arts organizations.

CASA of Larimer County trains community volunteers who provide a voice in court for abused and neglected children.
