Otis, Bedingfield & Peters, LLC congratulates law clerk Lia Szasz who was recently awarded Best Overall performance at the Colorado Appellate Advocacy Competition held at the University of Colorado School of Law. Lia earned this honor for having the best combined performance in the written briefing and oral argument parts of the competition.

The Colorado Appellate Advocacy Competition is an annual intraschool moot court competition for second year and third year law students. Approximately 50 students compete in total in the competition.

“We are very proud of Lia’s accomplishment but not surprised,” says managing member Jennifer Lynn Peters. “Lia is one of the most talented young professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with. We see great things in her future.”

Lia has served as a law clerk with the firm for the past two years. She will earn her JD in December and join the firm as an associate after taking the February bar exam.
