MGS, Inc. is pleased to announce the 50 year anniversary of the MAXEY Brand of products and services. MAXEY, Inc., started in 1969 in Fort Collins, CO, as a manufacturer of trailers, truck bodies, and snow grooming equipment. Over the years MAXEY added truck equipment distribution, retail trailer sales, parts and service operations.
“MGS, Inc. acquired MAXEY in 2014 as part of the company’s long-term strategic plan” according to company President Andy Gehman. “With our long term vision we needed a strategic location to service our growing customer base in the western part of the country” stated Mr. Gehman. “We are pleased that as we celebrate the 50 years of the MAXEY brand it coincides with the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers Trailer Safety Week”. “Our Vice President and Western Region Manager Carl Maxey and I met through our time spent on the NATM board of directors starting in 2004. Both of us held similar visions on the trailer industry and how we conducted business”. “This led us to becoming close working companies, and the eventual acquisition of MAXEY”.
MGS Vice President Carl Maxey stated, “All MGS and MAXEY facilities will be supporting the National Trailer Safety Week in conjunction with the NATM”. “Our company has a strong commitment in the safety of our employees, our products that we produce and the customers that use them”.
The company has planned the month of June to promote trailer safety. The sales and service departments will be running specials on safety related products and service along with free towing safety materials.
