Nov 22, 2016 | Chamber News

The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce thrives on the energy and dedication of its volunteers and is very fortunate to have outstanding members of the community wanting to get involved.  The Local Legislative Affairs Committee (LLAC) is currently accepting applications for involvement for 2017.

The Local Legislative Affairs Committee (LLAC) is a standing committee of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce dedicated to collaborating with public and private stakeholders to create a favorable environment for business, thereby enhancing the quality of life of the entire community and region.  The LLAC accomplishes this mission by actively monitoring the legislative activities of the city council, the county commissioners and other decision-making bodies in the Fort Collins area.  The LLAC makes policy position recommendations on city and county issues on behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors during their weekly meetings each Friday at 7:30am.

Applications are considered each year as individuals are appointed to two-year terms on the LLAC.  To get involved in this exciting volunteer opportunity, simply complete an application, available here, and return it to the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce. Applications are due December 1, 2016  and interviews for the openings will be held the first week of December.  The Board of Directors will appoint individuals to the LLAC in mid-December.  Applications can be obtained at the Chamber office or by contacting Ann Hutchison at [email protected] or (970) 482-3746.
