FORT COLLINS, COLO. – June 6, 2017 – The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is excited to kick off the 2017 season with indie-folk performer Danielle Anderson, known professionally as Danielle Ate the Sandwich. The singer-songwriter will charm audiences with her ukulele and unique brand of talent on the west lawn of Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center on Wednesday, June 14, 6-8:30 p.m.
Danielle Ate the Sandwich brings a quirky blend of indie-folk music and thoughtful lyrics to the Lagoon stage. Her repertoire ranges from original, personal songs to beautifully re-done covers of artists like Taylor Swift, Iron and Wine and Ray LaMontagne.

A true millennial success story, Danielle’s popularity began humbly at open mic nights around Fort Collins and exploded with the popularity of her personality-infused YouTube channel. Over the past seven years, her talent has earned her praise from critics near and far, including Denver Westword, UKE Magazine (UK), KAMUKE (Australia) and many more.

One of her most recent works is the Emmy-nominated soundtrack to the HBO documentary film, “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.” Other notable career highlights include sharing the stage with artists such as Pomplamoose, Leo Kottke and Mumford & Sons.

Little Kid Rock Band performer, Julia Kirkwood, will have the pleasure of opening for Danielle Ate the Sandwich on June 14. Concert goers may also enjoy cuisine from various local food trucks: Wing Shack, The Taco Stop, Pizza Casbah, A-Maize’n Kettle Corn and The Human Bean Coffee Truck.
