The Fort Collins Country Club has announced the appointment of Mike Pierce as the permanent general manager. Pierce will be responsible for continued membership growth, while overseeing operations of the acclaimed 18-hole championship golf course, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, fitness center and three restaurants. The selection was officially made on January 15 after a nationwide search.

“I am thrilled to be named the permanent GM of the Fort Collins Country Club,” said Pierce. “It is my responsibility to provide leadership that will enhance the ability of the Club to be managed professionally, consistently and in a manner aligned with the Club’s mission and values.”

Pierce first came to the Fort Collins Country Club on a temporary basis as the interim general manager in August 2018. Pierce had been a long time member of the Club, having served on the Board and as Club president in 2010-2011.  The combination of his knowledge of the Club, and its membership, along with extensive business experience and active community involvement, made him the perfect choice to serve as interim general manager when the position became available. Since taking the role, the Club saw record-breaking membership growth in December and January.

Pierce has been a northern Colorado resident for 39 years. He has 34 years experience as a commercial insurance agent and agency principal. He and his wife Calie have lived in a home on the Fort Collins Country Club golf course for the past 18 years. They have a blended family of five grown children and two grandchildren. He is actively involved in the community and has received accolades for his efforts, including: founder of the Salt & Pepper Lunch Club, founder of the CSU Athletics Legacy Scholarship, recipient of the CSU Larry Lassaso Spirit Award and recipient of the CSU Alumni Association Distinguished Athlete Award.
