Green in Action Continues August 7 and Features Green Event Planning = Stewardship, Public Relations and Funds!

Do you want to help your company be greener? Not sure where to start or don’t have the time? Join us for our new monthly educational programs that will feature hands-on, easy to use information and insights.

Join the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, August 7 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Chamber, 225 S Meldrum, for Green in Action.

The August program is “Green Event Planning = Stewardship, Public Relations and Funds!”

Learn the ABC’s to plan, manage and evaluate your next fundraising event with a green (environmental) focus. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned pro, you’ll learn why embracing more sustainable events is good for people, the planet and your event’s profit or company reputation. Topics covered include why be green, food, promotions, transportation, volunteers, waste and the green continuum.

Cary Rentola is the Director of Marketing and Community Relations for W.O.L.F. Sanctuary. She has served as the Chair of the Climate Wise Ambassador Committee and formally served on the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce Environmental Committee. She has instituted short and long term Green Initiatives at current and previous employers and has coordinated zero waste fundraising events. Cary has over thirteen years non-profit experience and has earned the Certified in Volunteer Administration credential.

This program is open to the business community and does provide Climate Wise members with educational credit.
