Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity Celebrates Milestone Anniversary with “25 Years of Stories” Event

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity invites the northern Colorado community to celebrate its 25th anniversary with its unique 25 Years of Stories event on Thursday, Oct. 11. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the Carnegie Center for Creativity, 200 Mathews Street in Fort Collins, and feature a display of original artwork paired with 25 stories of the volunteers, donors, business and individuals who have made Habitat possible in Fort Collins.

“Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity was founded on the notion that every individual should have access to safe and affordable housing for them and their families,” said Kristin Candella, Executive Director of Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity. “So many remarkable supporters in the community have turned this vision into reality, and we look forward to sharing 25 of their stories to mark this milestone event.”

The event will include a VIP reception with delectable tastes, brews and live music, plus an after-hours exhibit celebration of original artwork on reclaimed windows created by local artists. These donated art pieces have been paired with the 25 stories that reflect the impact of Habitat in the community. The decorative windows will be auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting Habitat.
