Fans of CSU Rams volleyball will have one more home match they can attend this season, as CSU will host prominent Chinese Volleyball League squad Shanghai Eastbest & Lansheng at Moby Arena on Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m.

Head Coach Tom Hilbert made the announcement of the match at his annual preseason NETwork and media dinner on Tuesday evening. Tickets are available now at CSURams.com/tickets or by calling 1-800-491-RAMS. Season-ticket holders will have until Sept. 25 to claim their normal seats for the match, at the same single-match price they currently pay in their season-ticket package.

Shanghai won five consecutive Chinese Volleyball League titles between 1996-2001. The team is led by head coach Zhang Limin.

“They’re going to be very, very good,” Hilbert said of the visitors from Shanghai. “It will be a very good and entertaining match. In 2011, we played a team from China called Tianjin, and this team will probably be better than them. We expect this will be a fun match to play and really entertaining for everybody.”

Shanghai is also playing at Wyoming the night before in Laramie, Wyo.

The Rams will open their regular season on Aug. 28, as they host Baylor at 6 p.m. Including the exhibition match versus Shanghai, CSU will host 18 matches at home this season, the most since 2009. Season tickets, mini-plans and single-match tickets are currently on sale for all 2015 home matches. Visit CSURams.com/tickets for more information.
