City of Fort Collins Seeks Community Ideas to Create Our Climate Future!

Sep 1, 2020 | Member News

We want to hear your ideas of how to encourage More Reuse, Recycling and Composting and how to approach Affordable Housing in Fort Collins!

The City of Fort Collins is asking community members for their ideas on how to achieve our community’s goals around waste, energy, and climate as part of the next phase of Our Climate Future. This new phase of engagement builds upon priorities identified last fall, which include affordable housing, sustainable transportation, reuse and recycling, renewable energy, equity, inclusion, and more.

From August 31st until Sept 4th, the focus will be on how to generate More Reuse, Recycling and Composting. Virtual participation includes two workshops and a Q&A session with local guest speakers.

On September 8th, we’ll revisit the Affordable Housing priority as a bonus opportunity.

We have seen how collective action changed the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and we are seeing how it is elevating the voices of people of color to combat systemic racism in America. Collective action can also be a powerful tool to ensuring our future is equitable, resilient, and prosperous for all, and we want your ideas and solutions to get there!

Want to share your ideas for Our Climate Future? Want to dive deeper? Sign up for a workshop and learn more at fcgov.com/climatefuture or see below for direct sign up links to the various events.
