The Arc of Larimer County’s 4th Annual Film Festival: Reframe Disability

Join us in celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!
The Arc of Larimer County, a local advocacy agency dedicated to protecting and promoting the civil rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its Fourth Annual Film Festival on March 31, 2016. The theme of this year’s Film Festival is “Reframe Disability,” reflecting the Arc’s mission of advocacy, education and fostering an inclusive community.
The Fourth Annual Film Festival will be held at the Lory Student Center Theater on Colorado State University Campus from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. This innovative film event features work by and about individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and issues surrounding the I/DD community. Some films will be serious, some humorous but all will spread awareness.
Connor Long, Denver7 news reporter, will emcee the Film Festival. Not only is Long an accomplished athlete, actor, and aspiring singer-songwriter but is also covering stories of Special Olympics Colorado athletes for Denver7. Much like the staff and volunteers at The Arc of Larimer County, Long believes that some day, those with intellectual disabilities will change the world.
Tickets to the Film Festival can be purchased through the CSU Box Office on campus or online at csutix.universitytickets.com. General admission is $5.00 and student tickets are $3.00. All proceeds support the mission of The Arc of Larimer County.
