Executive Director - Healing Warriors Program

Salary Range: 70,000 – 75,000

Job Summary

The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Healing Warriors Program(HWP). The Executive Director
reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and
objectives. The Executive Director is the singular organizational position primarily responsible for implementing and
meeting the strategic plans and policies as established by the HWP Board of Directors. The Executive Director
provides direction and leadership so that the philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives of HWP
are achieved through program development and administration. The Executive Director assists the Healing Warriors
Program Board of Directors in fulfilling its governance function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops the organization’s long term strategy and achieves its mission in a consistent and timely manner.
• Provides leadership in developing program, organizational and financial/ funding plans in conjunction with the Healing
Warriors Program Board of Directors and staff.
• Advocates for promotes, and implements the plans and policies authorized by the Healing Warriors Program Board of
Directors.
• Builds, promotes and motivates a team of leaders including 10 + staff and 40 contractors, providing guidance,
mentorship and coaching.
• Active and passionate engagement and understanding of HWP programs, logic model and efficacy.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and oversees management of official records
and documents.
• Oversees and manages human, financial, and physical resources either directly or through delegation to achieve
mission.
• Interfaces between the HWP Board of Directors and employees, and between the organization and the community.
• Maintains a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in all fields relevant to Healing Warriors
Program’s mission.
• Devises remedial actions for any identified issues and conducts crisis management when necessary.

Job Qualifications
• Masters Degree, or higher in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or related field.
• Five years of Executive Leadership experience
• Applicable work experience with: veterans, integrative care therapies and non-profit organizations.
• Outstanding organizational skills, leadership and self direction.
• Successful fundraising experience for organizations of a similar size.
