POSITION: Banking Officer Trainee

STATUS: Full-time Exempt

LOCATION: Ft. Collins, CO

REPORTS TO: Regional President

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Maintaining a current knowledge and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
•Responsible for completing the Standardized Underwriting Training.
•Responsible for learning how to service the credit needs of customer and prospects; obtaining financial and other information; learning how to perform or coordinate credit analysis; assists in making loan presentation and recommending approval to Bank Loan Committee where required; and assist in negotiating terms and conditions such as rates, collateral, guarantees, loan agreements, and other documentation.
•Establishes business relationships with prospective business and consumer customers, and cultivating these relationships to expand lending and depository opportunities.
•Learn how to detect potential problems and applies techniques of problem loan administration.
•Responsible for assisting in daily management of a commercial loan portfolio, including, but no limited to, credit quality; compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; and management of past due loan status. Overall portfolio may include consumer credits as well.
•Develops as a relationship manager for assigned customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and the resolution of service problems for all bank products.
•Responsible for learning how to expand customer base through networking and sales calling. Soliciting the business of non-borrowing customers as well as loan customers. Maintaining product knowledge to generate credit, deposit, and fee business.
•Participating in community involvement activities to enhance Bank’s visibility, image, and reputation.
•Delivering the quality of service as defined by department standards.
•This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.

 

EDUCATION

Four year college degree in Business with emphasis in Finance; or other degreed program with minor in Business. Performs duties under guidance and direction of the Community Bank President.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
