You may have heard the term “ESG” recently and wondered what it is and how it impacts your business?  ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria are impacting investor relations, reporting, operations, and hiring.  In this session, Grace Wright, Sustainability Initiatives Specialist & Impact MBA Instructor at Colorado State University, will discuss incoming SEC reporting, cover ESG trends, and identify tangible opportunities for your business to improve on ESG dimensions.

Following Grace’s presentation, Shelley Polansky, President/ CEO of the Better Business Bureau, will present on how northern Colorado organizations who make social impact a part of their business model may wonder how they communicate their impact to customers or fear getting lost in a sea of “causewashing”. In this session, learn how the Better Business Bureau’s new BBB4Good program helps social enterprises stand out from the crowd by verifying their social impact and giving them new tools to show off their multi-part mission to customers.

Chamber members and community partners are encouraged to attend these complimentary presentations.

About the Talent Series

The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce launched the 2022 Talent Series in the spring to compliment the 2022 Talent Summit and expand the knowledge around workforce issues. The spring series included eight presentations from experts in the field on timely topics including: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Family-Friendly and Age-Diverse Workplaces, Apprenticeship Pathways, Skills-based Recruitment; as well as, a hands-on career tour. The fall series continues with more in-depth presentations, hands-on learning, and opportunities to continue and support employers in attracting and retaining the talent they need.
