Free* Screening of EX LIBRIS: New York Public Library

Celebrate National Library Week by joining Poudre River Public Library District and The Lyric for a free* screening of the acclaimed documentary “Ex Libris: New York Public Library” by famed director Frederick Wiseman.

*Admission to the screening is free with a Poudre River Public Library District library card. Limit one ticket per library card. Get your free ticket in-person at The Lyric any time prior to the screening OR grab tickets online (with a small service fee added) at http://lyriccinema.com/movie/ex-libris-new-york-public-library/. If claiming a ticket online, one library card is still required to be presented for each ticket for admittance.

About “Ex Libris”: The film takes you “behind the scenes of one of the world’s greatest institutions of learning, capturing the vast programmatic scope of NYC’s library system” as is explores the library’s history and its role in the fabric of the city. The film also examines the library’s recent transformation into a more comprehensive community center and reveals a “venerable place of welcome, cultural exchange, and intellectual creativity.”
